The Securities Industry Development Corporation (SIDC), the training arm of the Securities Commission Malaysia, organized the 13th Annual Emerging Markets Program (EMP) from 29 October - 1 November 2012 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Themed "Strengthening Resilience of Emerging Markets", this four-day annual program was designed to cater to senior regulators and participants in the emerging markets.

The Toronto Centre organized an interactive training program titled, "Expanded IOSCO Principles and Crisis Management". This was Toronto Centre's flagship program on Securities.
Islamic Markets Program, 25-28 June 2012, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
The 7th Islamic Markets Program (IMP) was hosted by the training arm of the Securities Commission Malaysia from 25 - 28 June 2012 in Kuala Lumpur. The three day-program entitled "Building the Environment for the Growth of Islamic Finance", was aimed at regulators and market participants wanting to know more about Islamic Finance. Topics included: Dynamics of Islamic Capital Market Products for Financing and Investment; Role of Shariah Governance in the Islamic Capital Market and Global Challenges of an International Shariah Governance Framework.
